What a game!!!!

Wow I can’t believe that we ended up pulling out the win. It was such a great game to watch. The team started out in the first half trailing by thirteen points with was pretty disappointing if you have to ask me because we are number two in the country and we were getting owned by a team that was not rated. But we ended up closing the lead to five at the half because we finally started playing some ball and making some huge shots. In the second half we started how much like the beginning of the game and got down by ten but that is when Izzo MSU coach started working his magic. He would call a timeout and set up a play for one player and every time that he did this we scored and we eventually ended up taking a lead that we would hold on too. I feel that we showed a lot of toughness in this game. But we also figured out what we have to work on. Gonzaga’s big men tore us up in the paint and we really need to work on that. But to end on some positive notes we have a couple of easy games that should result in wins hopefully and Izzo is bringing in another talented recruiting class ranked fifth in the country. Looks like state basketball will be good for years to come.

Day before Game 2

When looking at the first game I would have to say that mostly positives come form it. Going into the Florida Gulf Coast game we had a lot of injuries most of the team was not completely one hundred percents, which is the reason why I feel that we started off so slow. But we worked hard and continued to push the ball allowing for easy points, which made us end up taking a huge lead and which to us winning by a large margin. But one concern I do have is what will happen if we have a sluggish start against Gonzaga Bulldogs who overall will be much better than the team we faced in game one. I feel that if that happens again then we will be looking at out first lost loss of the year and be kissing our number two ranking goodbye. But to leave on a positive note our freshman played good in their first real college game.
